چکیده
Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is complex autoimmune system disease and significant impact on the health of population in our world. Numerous studies confirmed that genetic factors play a crucial role pathogenesis RA. Interleukin-6 (IL-6) common pro-inflammatory cytokine with various functions different pathophysiologic systems, especially development The (IL-6)is affected by common, functionally important polymorphisms. Serum levels were higher rheumatoid subjects than nonrheumatoid subjects. may be potential biomarker concentrations sera measured "enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA)" technique using Human-Interleukin-6(Bioassay Technology Laboratory). results present study demonstrate highly differences. aim this to evaluate serum IL-6 among Iraqi RA patients. IL-6levels patients controls (126.6436± 30.63222), (119.0229 ± 54.50154), P= 0.899. It noteworthy current males females when comparing male female (181.7823±117.92967versus 110.4356±34.83798), 0.558.We conclude there correlation between high arthritis.

Interleukin-6 (IL-6) Receptor Antagonist Protects Against Rheumatoid Arthritis
BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to investigate the protective effect of interleukin-6 (IL-6) receptor antagonist tocilizumab (TCZ) on rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and its related mechanism. MATERIAL AND METHODS Thirty RA patients receiving long-term methotrexate therapy at moderate and severe active stages were selected and treated with TCZ 8 mg/kg/time iv gtt intravenously guttae every 4 wee...

By using a sandwich ELISA, soluble human IL-6 receptor (sIL-6 R) levels were measured in the sera of 20 healthy children and of 25 patients with systemic juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA). In patients with systemic JRA, serum sIL-6 R levels (114.6 +/- 37.7 ng/ml) were significantly lower (P < 0.01) than those of healthy children (161.2 +/- 45.5 ng/ml). Serum sIL-6 R levels were negatively cor...
متن کاملInterleukin 6 and Rheumatoid Arthritis
Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is a representative cytokine featuring pleiotropic activity and redundancy. A transient synthesis of IL-6 contributes to host defense against infectious agents and tissue injuries by inducing acute phase reactions and immunological and hematopoietic responses. However, uncontrolled persistent production of IL-6 may lead to the development of several immune-mediated diseases...
متن کاملSerum levels of interleukin-6 type cytokines and soluble interleukin-6 receptor in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.
We investigated the serum concentrations of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and two IL-6 family of cytokines (leukaemia inhibitory factor (LIF) and ciliary neurotrophic factor (CNTF) as well as IL-6 soluble receptor (sIL-6R) using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) in 66 patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and 24 healthy controls. We examined a possible association between the serum levels o...
متن کاملCytokine (IL-6) and chemokine (IL-8) gene polymorphisms among rheumatoid arthritis patients in Taiwan.
OBJECTIVE The involvement of cytokines and chemokines in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is well studied; however, the genetic bases behind this is not well understood. The aim of this study was to examine whether -572 G/C polymorphism in the IL-6 gene and 2767 A/G polymorphism in the 3'-untranslated region (UTR) of the IL-8 gene are associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). ME...
